We are the LOOPS research group — Learning & Online Optimization for Processes and Systems — based in the Department of Chemical Engineering at UCL, and part of the Sargent Centre for Process Systems Engineering. We develop machine learning, optimisation and control methods for processes and systems with a sustainability focus.

Paulina is an Assistant Professor (UK Lecturer) in Process Systems Engineering in the Department of Chemical Engineering at UCL. She is also an Early Career Advisory Board member in the Control Engineering Practice (IFAC) and Minerals Engineering journals, and a Scientific Editor in the Results in Engineering journal (Elsevier).

Qualifications

• PhD in Earth Science and Engineering from Imperial College London.
• MEng and MSc degrees in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María in Valparaíso, Chile.
