A dynamic flotation model for predictive control incorporating froth physics. Part II: Model calibration and validation

Abstract

Part II calibrates and validates the dynamic flotation model from Part I using experiments in an 87-litre laboratory flotation tank operated with three phases (solid, liquid and gas). A factorial experimental design varying gas velocity and tailings valve position was used to estimate the fitting parameters and assess the model’s predictive capability.
